From June 2011 to September 2015, Ma Donghui served as the director of the research institute at Sany Heavy Industry Body Co., Ltd.
Prior to this, he served as a senior project manager at IAT Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. from June 2010 to June 2011. From December 2003 to May 2010, he served as the director of the body department at Jianshi International Automotive Design (Beijing) Co., Ltd. He received a bachelor's degree in power engineering and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Wuhan University of Technology in 1999, and a degree in manufacturing and automation from Shanghai University in 2003.
