Stellantis issued a statement denying the creation of a new joint venture in China

A few days ago, the new group Stellattis, formed by the merger of PSA Group and FCA Group, issued a statement, firmly denying media reports that 'Stellantis Group is planning to establish a new joint venture in China.' The statement stated that Stellattis Group will, as always, be committed to the cooperation with its current partners-Dongfeng Motor Group and Guangzhou Automobile Group.

On January 16, 2021, the merger transaction between PSA and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) was officially completed, and the two parties merged into a brand new group-Stellattis. The group will have the capacity to manufacture 8.7 million vehicles per year, and it will rank behind Volkswagen, Toyota and Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Group and become the world's fourth-largest car company.
