On January 21, the Washington Auto Show organizers stated that due to the continued epidemic of the new crown virus, the Washington Auto Show will be postponed again.

The event was originally scheduled to be held from March 26 to April 4 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in the United States. Affected by the COVID-19 crisis, the exhibition organizers have postponed the time of the 2021 auto show. The initial scheduled time for this year's auto show is from January 29 to February 7.

Exhibition CEO John O'Donnell said in a statement: 'There is nothing better than the safety and health of loyal participants, exhibitors, and all those who work hard to make the show a success every year. More importantly. Therefore, we will do our best to hold a high-standard exhibition that meets the habits of the audience in 2021, while ensuring the safety of our region and ultimately defeating this terrible epidemic.'

The organizers stated that they are working with Washington, DC officials and the Convention and Exhibition Center to discuss specific dates for the event to be held later this spring. Mike Bushnell, a spokesperson for the Washington Area New Car Dealers Association, the organizer of the show, said that the car brands that have booked the spring show include Acura, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, GMC , Jeep, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Lexus, Lincoln, Nissan, Ram, Subaru, Toyota and Volkswagen.

Before the Washington Auto Show was postponed, the organizers of the Detroit Auto Show stated that due to the epidemic, the 2021 Auto Show originally scheduled to be held in September will be cancelled.
