The second recall
A few days ago, FAW-Volkswagen Audi once again announced the recall plan. Starting from April 16 this year, some domestically produced A6L 40TFSI and A6L 45TFSI models produced from February 8, 2018 to July 27, 2020 will be recalled. The number of recalls this time is much more than the previous time, a total of 191981 vehicles. In fact, in July last year, someone reported the problems of the Audi A6L. It was only recently that the recall began. Although it was a little late, the correct decision was made anyway.
The reason for this recall is different from the first one. The first recall was due to engine shaking and stalling, but this time it was Because of'fire'. Due to problems in the manufacturing process of the insulation board supplier, some of the insulation boards are poorly pressed and have layered deformation. After a long time of use, there may be local overlap with the exhaust pipe. Under conditions, it is easy to cause the heat shield to catch fire, and the consequences are unimaginable. FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. will also entrust Audi authorized dealers to replace the recalled vehicles with new heat shields for free.
There have been many incidents of spontaneous combustion of the new Audi A6L across the country, and most of the fires were caused by the problem of the heat shield.
