2020 is the 50th anniversary of the birth of the Lamborghini Jarama GT, which debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1970.

Jarama's name comes from an area in the north of Madrid, which is famous for raising bullfights. At the time, it was the latest attempt of Lamborghini's 2+2 layout. Jarama is equipped with a V12 4.0L naturally aspirated engine and is developed based on 400 GT and Islero, maintaining the same mechanical layout. It is equipped with a Lamborghini V12 engine. The mixed gas is provided by 6 Weber dual-chamber 40 DCOE carburetors. Each cylinder adopts double overhead camshafts. The maximum power can reach 257kW and the maximum speed can reach 260 Km/h.

It is different from the current Lamborghini interior design which is more sporty. Jarama GT interior can be said to be extremely luxurious at the time, leather interior, air-conditioning, comfortable passenger compartment and spacious trunk.

Following the Geneva Motor Show in 1972, Jarama continued to introduce GTS models with a maximum output of 268kW, and added lateral air intakes on the hood, and a diffuser behind the front wheel arches. In the car, it uses a redesigned instrument panel and different front seat shapes to improve rear space.

A total of 328 Lamborghini Jarama GTs have been produced.
